Loch Etive
Fishing out of Loch Etive on the 18th Nov
We headed up to Etive arriving at 9.00am and on board the charter boat were 2 friends of Kenny's all ready and waiting. Once on board we headed out to our fishing marks.
First drop produced nothing after about a hours fishing so up anchor and onto 2nd mark this produced a small spur and a thornie about 4lbs. Skipper say were off again 3rd time lucky. Steams for a little bit then drops the anchor. Tony was first into a good double figure spur but was lost at the side of the boat.
We had spurs from 6lbs to 12lbs 10oz. The 3 best spurs were caught by Iain a nice 10lb 2oz spur. Chris 9lb spur and Rod McMillan 12lb 10oz spur. 2 nice ling at 5lbs and 6lbs for Shane and Rod.
Thanks lads great day out.

A few hours fishing
Went down the local beach with my 2 sons Shane and Nico. After digging some bait my brother Willie decided to join us.
Shane's first cast produced a flounder
Willies first cast. Willies rod snaps at the spigot.
First time using it as it was a new rod.
Shane had five flounders for five casts Nico had 1 flounder and a dogfish. Our mate Will was fishing further down the beach and called us to see what we had. Will had 4 Coalies and then the weed drove us off the beach. A Pity the weed got to much to fish as I am sure there would have been more fish caught well that's fishing for you.

Club outing
Went fishing over the Craig aboard the Girvan based Rachel Clair.
Iain would have had the best pollock of the day but was lost at the side off the boat prob into double figures.
Davie and Will shared the sweep money for the biggest pollock. Davie nearly had no rod left as a seal to a fancy to his pollock as he brought it on board.
Iain Shane and Chris Shared the sweep for the heaviest wrasse.
A good had by all cheers lads.

Arbroath
Went fishing to Arbroath with some of the lads out on a charter boat.
Chris the youngest of uz was out the night before this was a no no.
As you can see from the pict Chris nursing a hangover.
Heading out to our fishing mark
The fishing was for cod as we were having a £20.00 sweep for the biggest cod.
And £20.00 for the biggest fish other than a cod. Lines down and I was into a nice coddling of 3lbs.
Then a coalfish of 1lb 8ozs. Gordon landed a coalfish of 1lb 15ozs then Shane had a nice ling and returned it.
Then realised he had not weighed it. A nice 2lb coalfish for myself which put me in the lead again. Hit the bottom again and was into a nice cod of 4lbs this time.
Gordon landed a small ling and a coalfish of 2lbs 1oz, Wee Davie was up the front pulling in mackerel three a time and some nice coddling. By this time Shane had a nice ballan wrasse as well as myself.
Chris did manage a Short Spined Scorpion fish. Then I got one almighty bang on the rod tip and stuck it felt like a good fish shaking its head all the way up. It made a run up the back of the boat and in the mean time trying to keep it away from the other guys lines, Then the skipper is there with the landing net whispering in your ear keep it tight don't lose it. What do you know it throws the hook.Well that's fishing for you.
Result I got the £20.00 cod Sweep with my 4lb cod and Gordon won £20,00 for his 2lb 1oz coalfish.
On the way home Malky over come with the excitement
