Loch Etive RNLI charty event

Headed up to Loch Etive with my mate Richard and his daughter Katie for the RNLI charity event.
When we arrived there were a number of boats getting ready for the days fishing.

We headed out to our chosen spot and katie had the first fish aboard

After the fishing times were up we had a chance to have a look around the life boat that had turned up for the event. It is amazing boat and the job they do is first class. They showed us around the boat and taken the time to chat and explain how things work.

All the juniors that entered got a prize and there was a overall junior winner who was awarded a silver plate donated by Les McBride

There was also a overall Senior winner.

This years RNLI charity event is on the 18/03/2012 Loch Etive.
The organiser is Gordon Goldie please give him your support.

Fishing is 9.30am to 3.30pm and we have a visit from Oban Lifeboat in the afternoon. Registration 8-9am, launch 9.00am and all boats to be back at Kelly’s Pier by 4pm please?

I think the RNLI do a sterling job and where would we be with out them.
This is a fun event as many kids turn up with their parents and have a great day out.
and a days fishing into the bargin.

As in Gordon's own words
I’m looking to see if we can manage to get a Junior on every boat? There will be prizes for all Juniors including an engraved Salver (Thanks to Les McBride) and an engraved Quaich for the overall winners (Thanks again Les) along with other prizes.

I’ll distribute a photograph on the day, and all species caught (only one of each please!) should be photograph using that pic as a background for checking?

I’m still looking for donations to the prize and raffle tables if anyone can assist please? If you require any further info, please call me on 07919 206818? ***
