Shore and Boat match

In the last couple of weeks I have been out to our last boat match at loch Etive. We had hired the charter boat to fish the match. As always the skipper was first class. He kept the tea and coffee coming and us on the fish. It was good to see one of our junior anglers getting her first spur. Well done Victoria..

 

Also attended the last shore match which was held at Arbroath. Some nice fish were caught.

 

 

Shore Species Hunt Dec 2013

Not long to go now as we are in the last month of the club species hunt.

Port Patrick

Went on a wee fishing trip to Port Patrick.

A few fish about but not as many as I thought there would be.

Fished for about 6 hours and not one dogfish made an appearance.

Found that to be very strange.

 

Also managed to land this big fellow.

Loch Etive

Went fishing to loch Etive at the weekend. Fishing was a bit slow to  start with but did pick up later on We managed to get some spurs thornies pouting and coddling. The old doggies also made an appearance. Shane got a nice common eel and 2 tagged spurs were recaptured and released.

A Good Day Out

Got a call from my mate Stewart to see if I was free to give him a hand as he had a party of 18 anglers and was a man down. As I don't do much river fishing and did not know what to expect I went along for the day.

 

A very interesting  day and many happy anglers.
