Arbroath

Went fishing to Arbroath with some of the lads out on a charter boat.
Chris the youngest of uz was out the night before this was a no no.

As you can see from the pict Chris nursing a hangover.

Heading out to our fishing mark

The fishing was for cod as we were having a £20.00 sweep for the biggest cod.
And £20.00 for the biggest fish other than a cod. Lines down and I was into a nice coddling of 3lbs.
Then a coalfish of 1lb 8ozs. Gordon landed a coalfish of 1lb 15ozs then Shane had a nice ling and returned it.
Then realised he had not weighed it. A nice 2lb coalfish for myself which put me in the lead again. Hit the bottom again and was into a nice cod of 4lbs this time.

Gordon landed a small ling and a coalfish of 2lbs 1oz, Wee Davie was up the front pulling in mackerel three a time and some nice coddling. By this time Shane had a nice ballan wrasse as well as myself.

Chris did manage a Short Spined Scorpion fish. Then I got one almighty bang on the rod tip and stuck it felt like a good fish shaking its head all the way up. It made a run up the back of the boat and in the mean time trying to keep it away from the other guys lines, Then the skipper is there with the landing net whispering in your ear keep it tight don't lose it. What do you know it throws the hook.Well that's fishing for you.

Result I got the £20.00 cod Sweep with my 4lb cod and Gordon won £20,00 for his 2lb 1oz coalfish.

On the way home Malky over come with the excitement
